Eventually, “competency gaps” in accounting must be addressed at multiple levels by the industry and interrelated educational institutions, by individual organizations, and by managers. The educational system must create a partnership with organizations that will increase efficiency within the curriculum for successful transformation to the workforce. My goal is to address the adeptness of the education today’s students receive and the lack of skills required to maintain a long-term professional career in Accounting.
